The short version.
The desktop app keeps your crawl data on your computer. We never receive it.
The website uses analytics to see how visitors use it. Lemon Squeezy handles payments, and we never see your card details.

1. Who we are
SiteAuditLint ("we", "us") makes the SiteAud!tLint desktop SEO audit software and operates siteauditlint.com. This policy explains what personal data we collect through the website, the software and our support channels, why we collect it, and the choices you have. 2. The desktop app and your crawl data
SiteAud!tLint is built to run locally. When you crawl a website, the crawl results, audit history, Action Plans and exports are created and stored on your own computer. We do not receive, store or have access to your crawl data or the websites you audit.
When the software crawls a website, it sends requests directly from your computer to that website, the same way a browser does. Those requests come from your IP address and are subject to the audited site's own policies.
Optional integrations
Pro and Agency plans can connect to Google Search Console, Google Analytics 4 and PageSpeed Insights, and Agency can send notifications to Slack, Microsoft Teams or webhooks you configure. These connections are off until you set them up. When you use them, the app exchanges data directly with those services on your behalf, and the results are stored on your computer. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
3. Information we collect on this website
We collect a limited amount of information when you visit siteauditlint.com:
- Usage and device data. Pages viewed, referring site, approximate location based on IP address, browser and device type, and clicks on buttons such as Download and Get Pro. We collect this through Google Tag Manager and the analytics tools it loads, such as Google Analytics.
- Server logs. Our hosting provider, Vercel, automatically processes technical data such as IP address, user agent and request time to deliver and secure the site.
- Fonts. Pages load fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser sends your IP address to Google when a page loads.
4. Purchases and downloads
Purchases. Pro and Agency licences are sold through Lemon Squeezy, which acts as our reseller and merchant of record. Lemon Squeezy collects and processes your name, email, billing address and payment details to complete the order, calculate tax and prevent fraud. We receive order details such as your name, email, plan, country and order ID so we can provide support and honour your purchase. We never see or store your full card details. Free download. The free installer is hosted on Google Drive. When you download it, Google processes your request under Google's privacy policy. We do not require an account or email address to download.
5. When you contact us
If you email us or use the contact form, we receive your name, email address, and anything you include in your message, such as your website address or screenshots. We use this only to reply, provide support and improve the product.
7. How we use information
- To run, secure and improve the website and the software.
- To process purchases, deliver licences and provide customer support.
- To understand which pages and features are useful, in aggregate.
- To comply with legal, tax and accounting obligations.
Where data protection laws such as the GDPR apply, we rely on these legal bases: performance of a contract (purchases and support), our legitimate interests (running and improving the site and product, and security), your consent where required (for example, certain analytics cookies), and legal obligations (tax and accounting records).
9. How long we keep information
We keep support emails for as long as needed to help you and for a reasonable period afterward. Order records are kept for as long as tax and accounting laws require. Analytics data is kept according to the retention settings of our analytics tools. Data stored by the desktop app stays on your computer until you delete it.
10. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent at any time. Residents of some regions, including the EU, UK and California, have specific rights under local law.
To make a request, email us from the address you used with us. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
11. International transfers
Our service providers may process data in countries other than your own, including the United States. Where required, those transfers are protected by appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
12. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, including encrypted HTTPS connections across the website. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Because your crawl data stays on your computer, keeping that computer secure is also in your hands.
13. Children
SiteAud!tLint is a professional tool and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the product and the law change. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page, and for significant changes we will add a notice on the website.
